This was something of a precursor to a later AVAR paper by Lysa Myers, Eddy Willems and myself – Test Files and Product Evaluation: the Case for and against Malware Simulation – and an AMTSO guidelines paper – AMTSO Use and Misuse of Test Files – that covered much of the same ground.
